Later on, Ares was one of the Gods who opposed Zeus, resulting in his destruction.Īs the Greek God of War, Ares embodies the brutal and violent aspects of war. Within the Atlantic Lostbelt, history diverged in 12,000BC, the Gods not suffering defeat at the hands of Sefar. Like many gods, he would go on to father many god and demigod children such as Romulus, Remus, Hippolyta, and Penthesilea. Following the destruction of Sefar, his remnants along with those of his fellow machine gods eventually drifted to Greece, becoming the Greek pantheon. However when Sefar invaded in 12,000BC, they were unable to defeat the White Titan which resulted in the destruction of their true Aletheia bodies, with Ares personal sword being taken as a spoil of war. Before his appearances in Greek myth, he was one of the Twelve Machine Gods who ruled Atlantis over 14,000 years before modern day. In Roman Mythology, he is known as Mars WP. In the image below, impact melt flowed downhill and pooled, where it cooled.Ares is the God of War in Greek Mythology. The floor of the crater is covered in impact melt, rocks that were heated to such high temperatures during the impact event that they turned to liquid, and flowed across the floor. Tycho's central peak is thought to be material that has rebounded back up after being compressed in the impact, and though it's a peak now, it originated at greater depth than any other portion of the crater. Tycho is also of great scientific interest because it is so well preserved, it is a great place to study the mechanics of how an impact crater forms. ![]() The problem is, there aren't that many places for which we've sampled the rocks, and confirming the age of Tycho would help date younger surfaces, which are not well sampled. Planetary surfaces are dated by counting the number of craters on the surface, and comparing that number to the number of craters that formed on a surface for which we know the age by actually sampling the rocks. Directly sampling material from within the crater would help us learn more about not just when Tycho formed, but the ages of terrains on other planets throughout the solar system. This may still seem old, but compared to the 3.9 billion-year age for many large lunar craters, Tycho is the new kid on the block. So if these samples are truly from Tycho, the crater formed 108 million years ago as well. These samples are impact melt glass, and radiometric age dating tells us that they formed 108 million years ago. How old is Tycho? Because the impact event scattered material to such great distances, it's thought that some of the samples at the Apollo 17 landing site originated at the Tycho impact site. All craters start out looking like this after they form, but their rays gradually fade away as they sit on the surface, exposed to the space environment which over time darkens them until they fade into the background. ![]() It formed recently enough that its beautiful rays, material ejected during the impact event, are still visible as bright streaks. What really makes Tycho stand out is its relative youth. At 53 miles (85 kilometers) in diameter, it is just one among thousands similary-sized craters. Tycho's prominence is not due to its size. It appears as a bright spot in the southern highlands with rays of bright material that stretch across much of the nearside. Tycho Crater is one of the most prominent craters on the Moon. ![]() ![]() Launch the Terminal and type in the following command:. ![]() Here’s how to check the CPU temperature in Mac using the Terminal: Now that the talk is over, it’s time to run through the quick steps.Įven though there are plenty of third party apps that you can use to check the CPU temperature in macOS, you don’t need to rely on them because the Terminal can help you figure it out as well. DPS We've all used Genji's Deflect to pummel a Bastion during Overwatch 1 and that really hasn't changed all that much in Overwatch 2. So now that we know the "how" now we need to look at "who" counters Bastion in Overwatch 2. Once Configuration: Assault has been used, Bastion is a sitting duck. Starting to see the connection? For lack of a better term, Bastion is a "one-button" hero. This gives Bastion 20% damage reduction while transformed. On top of that, fighting into Configuration: Assault also means you have to battle into Bastion's passive, Ironclad. Waiting a few seconds before diving into the enemy will significantly increase your chances of winning the incoming team fight. Bastion's tank form only lasts 6 seconds. Let's leverage this! Peak around the corner, see if you can bait out Bastion's Configuration: Assault, then back away. Most Bastion players are very quick on the trigger and will jump into their tank form at the slightest hint of pressure. Their potential vaccines use small segments of messenger RNA engineered to produce a specific protein found in SARS-CoV-2. Two of the big players in the coronavirus vaccine hunt are the biotech companies Pfizer and Moderna. The vaccines currently in development use a variety of different methods to achieve that goal. The idea with any COVID-19 vaccine is to train your body's immune system to produce infection-fighting particles known as antibodies that are specifically capable of attacking the SARS-CoV-2 virus or some smaller component of it. We then explain why it is inaccurate to characterize the cell line used in the production of this vaccine as "aborted fetal tissue" by providing a detailed history of the cell line's creation and use. In this article, we will first explain what the AstraZeneca vaccine is, how it is produced, and why it has to be produced in this manner. Therefore, it is false to claim, as the video does, that the process of being vaccinated for COVID-19 with the AstraZeneca vaccine means being injected with "aborted fetal tissue fragments." The viral molecules grown in these cells are chemically and physically separated from the cells in which they were incubated and do not make it into the final product. Crucially, however, the vaccine does not "contain" this cellular material. ![]() It is true that the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine is created, in part, by growing a modified virus in cells originally derived from embryonic kidney tissue sourced from an abortion performed in the 1970s. This conclusion, and other claims like it, are factually inaccurate and stem from a misrepresentation of how this and other vaccines are produced. A viral video published in late November 2020 re-energized a common anti-vaccine talking point, alleging that AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine "contains" aborted fetal tissue. ![]() |
